Years Serving the Community
The Southside Community Center first opened in 1976. Read more about our history serving the community here.
The Southside Community Center offers many programs to the kids who attend. This includes daily structured recreation, education, and enrichment activities. These programs teach the children valuable skills, sometimes without them even knowing it!
The Southside Community Center has a gymnasium and access to the Parley Coburn playground, a Computer Lab, a Maker Space, as well as a main room. We always have at least one staff member with the kids in each category and all clubs throughout our program time.
We partner with many outside organizations including the Chemung County Youth Bureau, United Way of the Southern Tier, Tanglewood, Food Bank of the Southern Tier, and many other organizations for activities at the center as well as field trips.
